MONEY - Money - MONEY
The amount that we spend ALWAYS has to equal what we get!
The services of taking a portrait have changed over the years. When it started, it took the photographer hours to prepare the glass slides (yeah, glass), anywhere from 2 to 3 minutes to take each photograph, and then hours in a dark room to develop and print the portraits. Up to 5 years ago, nothing really changed with the process of fine portrait photography. Now, everybody is a photographer. Just snap a shot and stick the camera or memory card in the printer or computer and PRESTO - a picture!
Unfortunately, not every picture is a fine portrait. Even more important, if you're taking the picture, YOU ARE NOT IN THE PORTRAIT!
That is why hiring a photographer to take the family portrait is still necessary.
(Duh, that's why you're here.)
I do not put my prices on the Internet for family portraits. That information, with a bunch of other important stuff in a big envelope, is on its way. Oh wait, I don't know where you live. Just request the information packet on the OFF-LINE request page.
Over the years, trying to compete for price gets most photographers in trouble. The discount portrait studios have plenty of locations for the families that need a very nice, inexpensive portrait. Please understand that 5th Floor Photos is not a discount, SUPER-LOW, Holy Mackrel - 100 photos for $1, studio. We are a studio that will provide the best, most fun photo session, with a print package that is second to none, I promise. Just look at the Gallery and see the faces of those shown. My style during the session is relaxed and fun. I always hated the family portait day when I was a kid. Standing still and smiling is not something I could do, PERIOD! The session with your family will not requre you to stand still and smile, (Okay, you must be still for at least 1/60th of a second). You will have fun and be realaxed during the session (YES, I said relaxed). The children after the first session will even be excited to come and get their pictures taken. (Ssshhh, each child gets a little goodie bag after the portrait session).
I am eager to meet you and your family. If you don't like giving your personal information over the Internet (That's okay, my Father doesn't either), then call me and I will send an information packet to you for your reading pleasure.
